SNOW CONES
“The last snow before the spring of 2003 brought with it a bounty of downed pine cones. Having the warmth of summer pushed back even further caused the sight of these cones on the new fallen snow to trigger the title “Snow Cones”. As the snow began to melt off and reveal the beauty of the bed of pine needles, I painted this scene. It would be months till that cooling summertime treat in the heat of summer would have us once again yearning for the snows of winter.”
