A Cool Sip
35 x 54 inches
Drybrush Watercolor
Private Collection

Whether out fishing, bird watching or simply walking through the woods, taking a drink from a cold spring fed stream was commonplace and above all refreshing. Here we see the artist's friend Bob, who was the subject in the painting, "Looking At The Moon", quenching his thirst on a hot summer day. Due to ever increasing pollution and contaminants in the water this practice is seldom seen today and can, in fact, be unsafe. Perhaps as more awareness is focused on the need for clean waterways we may see a time when it is once again safe to take "A Cool Sip".
